🌾 Step 1: Use Government Ration Schemes

The Indian government provides food at very low prices under the Public Distribution System (PDS).

• Rice = ₹2–₹3 per kg

• Wheat = ₹2–₹3 per kg

• Sugar, Kerosene also at subsidized rates

Here’s a sample weekly plan for a poor family of 4:

• Rice/Wheat from ration → ₹100

• Dal (pulses) 1 kg → ₹70

• Seasonal vegetables 2 kg → ₹30

Meals:

• Morning: Roti + chutney/onion/vegetable

• Afternoon: Rice + dal + sabzi

• Evening: Roti + dal + leftover sabzi
